Celebrate International Museum Day at the Museum of Natural History in Torrevieja
The City council of Torrevieja, lead by Culture Councillor Antonio Quesada, is pleased to announce the reopening of the Museum of Natural History this Sunday, May 18, in honor of International Museum Day.This day promises to be filled with exciting activities for visitors of all ages, offering a unique opportunity to discover one of the city’s hidden treasures.
Special Activities Planned
Visitors can look forward to:
- Guided Tours: Two sessions available at 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
- Biodiversity Games: Engaging activities that highlight the importance of biodiversity.
- Workshops: Choose from a variety of workshops such as:

– “Watch How a Plant Grows”
Children participating in the activities will also receive diplomas designating them as “Nature defenders,” recognizing thier efforts in understanding nature and protecting the habitat.
Free Access Until June
the museum will be open from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Sundays and holidays, and from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM on Friday afternoons, with guided tours included. This free access lasts until the end of June, after which the museum will close for renovations.
