New Salinera Court Takes Center Stage in Torrevieja

On November 20, 2024, the vibrant community of Torrevieja celebrated the official functioning of its newly crowned Salinera Court soon after their coronation night. Mayor Eduardo Dolón and the Councilor of Fiestas, Rosario Martínez, extended a warm welcome to the trio—the newly designated representatives of the city’s iconic festivities—during a reception held in the Ayuntamiento’s plenary hall.

Meet the New Salinera Court

The new members of the Salinera Court include:

• Nuria Martí de Oro – Reina de la Sal 2024/25
• Ana Vidal Martínez – Dama de la Sal
• Inés Martínez Conesa – Dama de la Sal

During the ceremony, the young women received a unique identity pendant—a beautiful representation in the shape of a salt ship, symbolizing their connection to the city’s rich history as a salt-producing community.

Initial Impressions and Responsibilities

The newly crowned court has already expressed their delight in stepping into their roles. Nuria Martí de Oro remarked on the intensity of their first days, noting the palpable interest from Torrevieja residents eager to meet them. Ana Vidal shared her feelings of pride in representing the city, while Inés Martínez highlighted how quickly the trio has bonded, stating, “I feel like we are already a family.”

Mayor Dolón acknowledged the hard work and dedication that went into the coronation gala and expressed his readiness to support the new court through the Festivals Department.
