On May 9th, 2023, the town of Rafal, Spain, hosted a vibrant party for Europe Day under the theme “Europe, united in diversity.” The event took place at the Joaquín Pastor Municipal Football Field, where the flags of the European Union, Spain, and Italy were raised in honour of nine Italian students from Riesi participating in the Erasmus+ program.
