The City Council of Torrevieja has announced the opening of applications for financial assistance aimed at senior citizens. Starting from May 13 and running untill June 9, eligible individuals can apply for a one-time payment to help address financial difficulties faced by those over 60 years old.

How to Apply
applications can be submitted through the General Registry of the Ayuntamiento or electronically via thier online platform.In addition, a special service will be available at the Casa de la Tercera Edad in San Pascual, were applicants can get assistance with the application and required documentation.

The criteria for applicants include the following:
- Must be 60 years or older with a pension due to retirement, widowhood, or orphanhood.
- Must have been registered in the municipal census for at least two years prior to application.
- Income should not exceed 1.5 times the IPREM (Public indicator of Multiple Effects Income) for 2024, calculated over 12 or 14 payments.
Moreover, only one application will be accepted per economic unit, which includes family members living together, such as parents and children. Those who own only one home and a garage or storage space also meet residency requirements.
