Torrevieja Launches 16th edition⁣ of Young Entrepreneurs ⁣Awards for 2025

The Town Hall of Torrevieja is set to announce ⁣the call for its renowned ⁣ Young Entrepreneurs Awards (Edición XVI) for the year 2025. This initiative comes under the umbrella of the Municipal Department of Employment, Local Development, and Entrepreneurship, through the Local Development Agency, aiming to encourage and reward young‍ business talent connected to the city.

Fostering Youth Entrepreneurship and Local Economy

the awards target entrepreneurial individuals and businesses‌ aged‌ 35 or younger who have launched ⁤innovative projects contributing to Torrevieja’s economic ‍and social development.The program’s key objectives include:

• Promoting entrepreneurship among young residents.

Who Can Participate?

The competition welcomes legally registered individuals and companies under specific eligibility rules:

for Individuals (Sole Entrepreneurs or Limited Liability Entrepreneurs):

• Must be‌ registered residents ‌(empadronados) of Torrevieja.
• Must be no older than 35 years by September 8, 2025 (submission⁤ deadline).

For Companies⁣ with Profit Motive:

• Must⁢ have their fiscal and social headquarters in Torrevieja.
• At least half of the members must be aged 35 or younger by the deadline and collectively hold over 51% of the⁤ company’s capital.

Note: Public entities, private companies with public participation, nonprofits, ⁢and associations are excluded from applying.

Eligible Projects and Legal Requirements

Projects should be legally constituted businesses within the period September 1, 2024, to August 31, 2025. Acceptable sectors⁤ include:

• Tourism
• Local commerce
• New technologies
• Conservation and rehabilitation‍ of ‍buildings
• Environment
• Sports
• Culture, leisure, and free time

Legal constitution means ⁢that the business must have completed registrations at the public registry (Commercial Registry or Cooperatives Registry), tax office enrollment, and Social Security registration within⁤ the​ specified timeframe.

Prizes and Awards Ceremony

All prizes are subject to applicable taxes according to spanish law. Winners will be informed in advance about a formal award ceremony, where their presence will be ‍expected.

The opening of​ the application period will coincide with the publication of the call in the Boletín Oficial de la Provincia (BOP) de Alicante.
