The Torrevieja City Council, via its Department of Employment, Local Development, and Entrepreneurship, officially closed the T’avalem “Barco de Sal” mixed employment-training program this morning. This innovative 12-month initiative aimed at young people under 30 combined paid work experience with certified training to boost youth employment prospects in the region.
Empowering Youth Through Training and Employment
the program, launched on June 10, 2024, was co-funded by the European Social Fund under the Generalitat Valenciana’s T’avalem initiative and executed in collaboration with LABORA servei Valencià d’Ocupació i Formació. it provided a full professional development experience by combining classroom instruction with real-world work in various municipal departments.
Ten young participants, alongside a dedicated instructor and program director, took part in the project, earning two official certificates:
