Launch of the Comunitat Valenciana Olympic Week 2025
The Real Club Náutico de Valencia kicked off the CVOW with classes snipe, Finn, and Vaurien. Despite facing less than ideal weather conditions marked by rain and cold, competitors embraced the challenge. The regatta did not begin until post-3 PM, once a stable wind helped set the stage for two demanding trials per class.
Opening Day Highlights
- Snipe Class: Leading the pack, Martín Bermúdez de la Puente and Beatriz Díaz (RCN Madrid) managed to secure the top spot after a stellar performance. Also tied are Zabalua – Olivas (RCN Valencia), with Mannise – Aliaga (RCN Valencia) trailing by four points.
- Finn Class: Miguel Fernández (RCN Coruña) continues to dominate, maintaining his leadership with two more victories, making it five in total. Adrián Bedoya (CN Ibiza) and Guillermo Altadill (CN Ampolla) follow, albeit at a considerable distance.
- Vaurien Class: Francesco Zampacavallo (RCNV) and maria Alesson Fernández (RCRC) proclaim temporary leadership with a first and second place finish. Carlos Francés – Susana Gil (RCNV) and Alain Arri (CNH) – josé Ignacio Fernández (CVB) are nipping at their heels, tied in points.
